Back in May, it seemed as though Axel Tuanzebe would be waving goodbye to Aston Villa for good.
The Mirror reported that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was willing to give him a chance in the first-team next season but The Daily Mail seem to have given supporters hope of a return.
They now claim that Villa are set to launch a bid for the defender and hope to pay just £8m for his services.
Taking to Twitter, fans of the club were absolutely ecstatic with the news as one supporter claimed he was on his knees.
Another fan claimed it was a mouth-watering prospect whilst a further member of the Villa Park faithful simply hoped it was true.
One individual decided to focus on the potential price tag, suggesting it would be unreal for Tuanzebe.
The central defender appears to have been a huge hit at the club and despite spending a lengthy period out through injury he was hugely impressive.
In total, the 21-year-old played 28 matches in the Championship as he established a phenomenal partnership alongside Tyrone Mings towards the back end of the campaign.
