ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Gareth Bale ended his playing career in Los Angeles and it appears he liked the city and everything it has to offer. Last night, he was courtside for the Lakers' loss to the Golden State Warriors, where he linked up with Stephen Curry post-game and received a signed jersey from the NBA superstar. Eagle-eyed social media users were quick to spot another former LAFC star, Giorgio Chiellini, watching on in the background and feared he had been "snubbed" by Curry.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
In all likelihood, Chiellini was not intentionally ignored unless Curry is a secret Spurs' fan and took offence to the Italian legend's "History of the Tottenham" comment after Juventus knocked them out of the Champions Leage in 2018. Bale and Curry are also friendly through their shared love of golf.

WHAT NEXT FOR BALE AND CURRY?
The two sporting legends will join forces on the golf courses in London in late May as part of the Underrated Golf European Tour. Curry, who has played golf since he was 10, launched the initiative two years ago to help open the sport to young people from diverse communities. Bale is unlikely to be the only celebrity player at the event at Walton Heath.
